<p>I’m extremely pleased to announce that my Snakes & Angels album is now back on track. But the big news that put me over the moon is that the legendary <a contents="Peter Jones" data-link-label="" data-link-type="url" href="https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000539167574" target="_blank">Peter Jones</a> of <a contents="Tiger Moth Tales" data-link-label="" data-link-type="url" href="https://www.facebook.com/TigerMothTales" target="_blank">Tiger Moth Tales</a>, <a contents="Red Bazar" data-link-label="" data-link-type="url" href="https://www.facebook.com/redbazartales" target="_blank">Red Bazaar</a>, <a contents="Colin Tench Project" data-link-label="" data-link-type="url" href="https://colintench.bandcamp.com" target="_blank">Colin Tench Project</a>, and the <a contents="Camel Band" data-link-label="" data-link-type="url" href="https://www.facebook.com/Camel-Band-419562134853848" target="_blank">Camel band</a> has taken the time out of his busy schedule to do the vocals on the album for me. </p>
<p>WOW! What a pleasure it is to work with this good fellow. Hearing Pete’s voice on these tracks has breathed new life into this album. Its just amazing! Thank you Pete! </p>
<p>I’m really excited about this final development and cannot wait to complete and release this long overdue album. There have been countless and unending hurtles getting this album to its release stage but I do believe I am finally getting there. Hence my radio silence for so long. I’d like to thank each and everyone of you for your incredible love patience and support while you have been waiting. My goal all along was to produce the very best album I can for you. Hopefully I’ve achieved that with this album and each successive album I produce. </p>
<p>Also featured on the album are <a contents="Joseph Frick" data-link-label="" data-link-type="url" href="https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100010481892334" target="_blank">Joseph Frick</a> playing bass guitar on all tracks and <a contents="Jay McGurrin" data-link-label="" data-link-type="url" href="https://www.facebook.com/jay.mcgurrin" target="_blank">Jay McGurrin</a> (<a contents="Jimmie Van Zant Band" data-link-label="" data-link-type="url" href="https://www.facebook.com/vanzantband" target="_blank">Jimmie Van Zant Band</a>, Colin Tench Project, <a contents="The Drumbreath Experiment" data-link-label="" data-link-type="url" href="https://www.facebook.com/The-Drumbreath-Experiments-1865057580415204" target="_blank">The Drumbreath Experiment</a>) playing drums on a track entitled ‘The Lost’. Both of these guys are lifelong coconspirators and are both rock solid in their playing. Thanks Guys! </p>
<p>So here we are... Stay tuned in as I will be making more announcements as it all gets sorted out! </p>
<p>One final thing I do want to mention and share with you is, during the past 6 months while a lot of people have been displaced of jobs and life, myself and Mrs GorMusik have continued to work through it all as essential workers as a lot of other people have. Of course its been a blessing and a curse but we have followed protocol and are continuing to do so thanking God for His safety and protection to this very day and praying for all of those less fortunate who have lost so much. God bless you all!! </p>
<p>Also during this time I’ve written some new music that I would like to share with you as it is relevant to the worlds current state of affairs. This is what I felt, this is what I wrote during this time frame so to speak. It may possibly end up on another project down the road as I have more tracks on the back burner that may coalesce into an album when the time is right. But for now I want to release it as a one off single not connected to any album. </p>
<p>So with that being said stay safe, healthy, proggy, and tuned in for a new GorMusik single and a new GorMusik album in 2020. </p>
<p>Prog On! </p>

<div><span style="color:#00ccff">Greetings...</span></div>
<div><span style="color:#00ccff">It has been a while since my last update and I’d like to catch everyone up. As you may know I’ve been crazy busy the last few years working with my dear friend Colin Tench on his two marvelous albums ‘Hair in a G-String’ released 2016 and 'minor Masterpiece’ released 2017. Sadly and with my broken heart he has recently left this world on angels wings due to his untimely passing. But his legacy and his music lives on thanks to his family and friends, and through the many wonderful fans he has gained over the years through his brilliant music. All of Colin Tench’s music can be heard and purchased through his website, bandcamp, and many digital outlets as the family has made sure to carry on his musical legacy. We are forever grateful for this. Please check it out and be amazed at the scope of all of his musical works, it is far reaching. </span></div>

<div><span style="color:#00ccff">I am making sure now that all I do is done right and in honor of my friend Colin for his motto has always been to pay attention to the details and produce nothing but the best. I know he would want us to carry on and do the very best we can do in anything we do in our life. </span></div>

<div><span style="color:#00ccff">GorMusik… GorFusion</span></div>
<div><span style="color:#00ccff">First up as you may know I have just released a teaser of a track called ‘Moon Wink’ that will go on the GorFusion side project I am working on. This project will be released one song at a time as they are being completed in-between my full album projects and can be found on my website or band camp pages under the GorFusion banner. All of the GorFusion songs start out with a bass track Joe Serwinowski has written and is sent to me where I add the rest of the instruments. Joe is inspiring me to write what I do, so we’ll blame him… lol We know you’ll like it. It’s some pretty cool stuff, please check out the tease here <a href="https://www.reverbnation.com/gormusik/song/29240784-moon-wink-teaser" data-imported="1">'Moon Wink Teaser'</a> and let us know what you think. The full track which is over 6 minutes long will be released very soon. </span></div>

<span style="color:#00ccff">You can listen to the first GorFusion track released last year, <a href="https://gormusik1.bandcamp.com" data-imported="1">'Waxed Apples'</a></span><a style="color: #00ccff; font-family: geneva, sans-serif; font-size: medium;" href="https://gormusik1.bandcamp.com" data-imported="1"></a><span style="color:#00ccff"> here at bandcamp as well. <div><span style="color:#00ccff">All the Art for the GorFusion album is being produced by Peter Skov and his creative mind… Thanks Pete! </span></div>
<div><span style="color:#00ccff">As each track is written he will produce a new piece of his art for it. So there is not just one album cover piece but many pieces of new art for each track we write.. Hopefully when we are done with this project, and we won’t know when based on how we are releasing it, but the main album cover art would consist of a collage of all the individual pieces created during the production of it… </span></div>

<div><span style="color:#00ccff">GorMusik… Snakes & Angels</span></div>
<div><span style="color:#00ccff">Next up is an Album I’ve been working on for a some time called ‘Snakes & Angels’ it is currently in production and I am very hopeful on releasing this album later this year. This album has guest bassist Joseph Frick, long time buddy o pal a mine, and will feature his awesome bass playing. The album contains 4 tracks as of now and is around 45 minutes long at this point, there may be one more track added yet, we will see. This album is a concept album depicting the struggles of good vs evil in our lives and that there may be hope out there if look for it. I have written the lyrics for this album and will have a surprise vocalist on the album. But I won’t let that cat out of the bag just yet! As I move farther along with this album I will reveal more about it and start teasing you with some of the music for it. But, for now you can hear part of a track called <a href="https://www.reverbnation.com/gormusik/song/27867559-snakes--angels-the-wandering" data-imported="1">‘The Wandering’</a> on my Reverb Nation page - Stay tuned...</span></div>

<div></div>
<div><span style="color:#00ccff">GorMusik… Progtropolis</span></div>
<div><span style="color:#00ccff">Another huge recording I am working on is my ‘Progtropolis’ album. This as well is a concept album about the spirit of music / prog being lost and our hero who is in search of it across time, space, and different worlds to ultimately find it on Progtropolis! I have written / co-written the lyrics for this album with collaboration on them from Jay McGurrin who will be the featured vocalist on this epic journey. I am hoping for a 2019 release date. This album will also have a very special track on it featuring the guitar playing of my dear friend Colin Tench. The track was written early 2017 and Colins guitar tracks were recorded in late summer/fall of 2017 in-between our working on minor Masterpiece together. We had plans for him to do much more of his wonderful guitar work on my album, but we were waiting until after minor Masterpiece was released to do so as it was getting to crunch time for his album release. Sadly that dream will not be realized now. Progtropolis is also in production, as I am writing a symphonic suite through out and in-between the main pieces on the album as they are woven with orchestra as well. My hope is to eventually release the symphonic suite as an album itself at a later point. There is approximately 60 plus minutes of music written for this album to date and I am not sure how big it will be in the end as it is still being written, but I will keep you all posted. You can hear some of the music and watch the trailer video here - <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFrcnKZpiH8&feature=youtu.be" data-imported="1">Progtropolis Video Trailer</a> I also have some music from the album on my Reverb Nation page… <a href="https://www.reverbnation.com/gormusik/song/27796984-progtropolis-piano--fretless" data-imported="1">'Progtropolis Piano Fretless'</a> -This is the track you will eventually hear Colin’s awesome guitar playing on when it is complete... <div><span style="color:#00ccff">I am also working on the release of an acoustic new age album I’ve co-written with bassist Joe Serwinowski. We are working together with Peter Skov who is producing some videos of his awesome photography and film he has taken over the years show casing his wonderful work with some of the music Joe and I have written. That is in-between the in-between areas we are in-between of… Good Lord… Crazy I know, right!</span></div>

<div><span style="color:#00ccff">I’ve also written a track for United Progressive Fraternity called ‘Seeds for Life’ that will be released on the 'Planetary Overload 'Part 1: Loss’ album (mid 2018) The epic track will feature many artists Including Mark Trueack, Steve Uruh, Dan Mash, Steve Hackett, Nick Magnus, and many more. Plus I am in process of writing another brand new track for the 'Planetary Overload 'Part 2: Hope’ album (mid 2019) so stay tuned in… </span></div>

It seems I’ve met so many brilliant artists and musicans through FNP. Thanks Ron, or should I say, King Dusd. But it was inadvertently through Truey, Mark Trueack of United Progressive Fraternity that I had met Colin. It was shortly after the release of my Fun in OuterSpace album, I remember Ron was playing a UPF track and a GorMusik track on his show and I met Mark in the chat room that night, who, later during the show had sent me a private message to see if I’d like to work with him on his Planetary Overload album. I believe the album was in the beginning stages at the time. Now I’m thinking… who is this guy… so in my infinite wisdom I said, "I think we can work something out…" then I did a quick google search of the gentleman and my jaw hit the floor… Good lord, I said, what have I gotten myself into… I was simply stunned he’d asked me to work with him and the Fraternity now knowing the gravity of who he really is… Wow! and… happily and quickly I agreed to work with him before he changed his mind... lol</span></div>

Indeed!” now knowing that his music was talking to me and I had some new ideas for what we were working on… But his Brazilian had spoken to me in a way not all music does and I instantly fell in love with it.</span></div>

He immediately sent me all of the Hair in a G-String Suite and more, some of which the orchestra parts had already been done beautifully by another brilliant composer, Steve Gresswell. I was blown away even more by what I was hearing now. I was all to happy to continue where Steve had left off, for it was an awesome start to the album!</span></div>

Working with him was so easy and effortless for me, it just came naturally. I think the key was, we just got each other. Then the work began on "The Hairy G-String" as we joked many times. Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 3b, Part Hammond B3, Part 4, Part 4a, Part 4b, Part 4c, That Brazilian, Moaning Lisa Does The Tango, and the Other Part, you remember right, because I've forgotten already… and so on, and so on! I was writing orchestral bits like crazy trying to keep up with his madness, I was over writing it, giving him more than he needed as surplus to make sure this part or that part was right… and… Colin was on the other end, slicing and dicing, mixing and matching away, putting this part here and that part there, doing the magic he was so good at, making it all perfect. He had once told me that there was enough extra orchestra bits on the cutting room floor for another whole album. I could believe that. I can tell some of them had spilled into his Major Masterpiece album.</span></div>

It was mind boggling at times, sometimes where only one note had been changed for it to be right. And it had to be right or it wasn’t making the cut. And Then! If we loved it and thought it was great, he then sent it to our secret weapon for the final analysis… The Final Word, The Sonianator, Those Wonderful, Beautiful, Magical Ears of Sonia Motu. “Blimey!! If it doesn’t get passed Sonia we’re doomed” He'd say, "it has to be right!” And Sonia would listen and listen and listen some more and then point out all the little things that had been missed or wrong or was just plain noisy! I’d wait patiently for Colin to get back to me with word… not really, it was more like sweating bullets. What the heck were we thinking! But once we got it right and Sonia did her happy bounce dance the pressure was off. We both breathed a sigh of relief because we knew now it was done right… and it was. Beautiful in the end! So, thank you Sonia for making us better musicians by challenging us to do better in anything we did and making the music even better… Colin’s Moto / Motu was always, details details details!</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">Hey! Guess What I’ve Been Doing…</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"></div>
<p style="text-align: center;">Greetings to all...</p>
<div style="text-align: center;">Hope this finds everyone well!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br>
<div>It has been a while since my last writing as I have been crazy busy spreading myself over all my recording projects but I thought I would put out an update to keep everybody in the loop! So here goes...</div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><hr></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://www.facebook.com/ColinTenchProject/" data-imported="1">Colin Tench Project</a>-</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">I have managed to complete an orchestral section for the new CTP album and Colin is pleased with the results so it's on to the next bits. Still searching for the Ting and the Boing! Currently I am working orchestral sketches out for 2 new pieces Colin has sent me for the album. I'm excited to get my ideas down and presented to Colin for his arrangement or the cutting room floor. It happens! He is the master of it all!! This will be an awesome album when it all comes together, IMO, based on the tracking I've been privy to hear at this point, Sir Colin is working his red hot pants to tatters on this album. Great playing Maestro Colin!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><hr></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">GorFusion-</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">I am getting close to another track being done for this side project featuring Joe Serwinowski on bass guitar. I must say, the tracks Joe has been sending me are stellar and will really define this fusion album for what it is as it all comes together. Joe's a top notch bass player. A real hidden gem! I'm glad we've decided to do this project. Currently I am working out drums and guitar tracks for this, and it is coming along nicely. And of course, master photographer Peter Skov is conjuring up ideas for the artwork for this new track as well. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><hr></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.blurb.com/user/PeterSkov" data-imported="1">Peter Skov Photography</a>-</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Peter also keeps a blog for his photographic exploits as well, one of which goes through the process of how he worked on my Waxed Apples track art. <a href="https://tsubakuro.wordpress.com/2017/01/30/waxing-apples/" data-imported="1">Learn How To Wax Your Apple!</a><br>

</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">-Peter is on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/peter.skov.37" data-imported="1">Facebook</a> as well. Stop by and let him know you checked out his photography and say hi! Tell him the Gord sent ya!!! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><hr></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Snakes & Angels-</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">I've just had a successful recording session not to long ago with Joseph Frick, aka "<a href="https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100010481892334" data-imported="1">The Frickster</a>", playing bass guitar, featured on this project. I am sorting out his tracking and at the same, Joe is working out more ideas for our next session. Looking forward to our next time together. Its always a blast! I am working on drum programming at this point as most of my guitar and synth guitar tracking is done. Moving forward one track at a time. I really think you will like it. Here is a teaser from the album. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.reverbnation.com/gormusik/song/27867559-snakes--angels-the-wandering" data-imported="1">The Wandering ' by GorMusik</a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;"> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><hr></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">And Finally!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Progtropolis Maximus-</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">This project will be my biggest undertaking yet. I've been working on this album since mid 2015, shortly after the release of my Fun In OuterSpace album. My first break away from it came a few months later in late 2015 when <a href="https://www.facebook.com/truey.trueack" data-imported="1">Mark Truey Trueack</a> of <a href="http://www.unitedprogressivefraternity.com" data-imported="1">United Progressive Fraternity</a> asked me to write a track for his new album Planetary Overload which is due out 2018-2019. WOW!! That was and still is a HUGE honor to do and to be able to work with Mark and <a href="https://www.facebook.com/steve.unruh.507" data-imported="1">Steve Unruh</a>, with S<a href="http://www.hackettsongs.com/index.html" data-imported="1">teve Hackett</a> and <a href="http://www.magnus-music.com" data-imported="1">Nick Magnus</a> playing on the track. Not to mention all the other incredible talent involved on this project! Mark, Steve and the fella’s have the track and have been working on the arrangement and lyrics for it. Wow Again!! Thanks Mark for making magic with my track!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><hr></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Then back to working on Progtropolis through the winter!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><hr></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Next break came in late winter. February 2016 was when I first heard and then stole Colin Tench's <a href="https://colintenchproject.bandcamp.com/track/the-sad-brazilian" data-imported="1">Brazilian</a> off of the interwebs to put some orchestra on it. I instantly heard musical voices for that piece. I wasn't sure if Colipoos would like it or hate me under these circumstances. But!… Needless to say, but I went ahead and said it anyway! I ended up working with Colin on his Hair in a G-String album for the next 8 months or so. What an absolute pleasure that was. If you haven’t heard <a href="https://colintenchproject.bandcamp.com/releases" data-imported="1">Hair in a G-String</a> here is your chance now! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Also, check out the Fully <a href="https://colintenchproject.bandcamp.com/track/bonus-track-lizas-waltz-with-full-orchestral-arrangements" data-imported="1">Orchestrated Lisa’s Waltz</a> bonus track only available as a digital download, it's not on the CD.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><hr></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Then back to Progtropolis where I had left off late 2016 to the present day 2017. Although Colin has recently sucked me back into his next musical vortex again, no complaints here, I am truly honored to be working with him along side the stellar bass playing of <a href="https://www.facebook.com/petri.l.lindstrom" data-imported="1">Petri Lindstrom</a> and <a href="https://www.facebook.com/joe.vitale.395" data-imported="1">Joe Vitale</a> drummer extraordinaire! This means I really need to make sure I manage my time well. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><hr></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">I am still on track so far! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><hr></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Speaking of Colin Tench, whose name is now officially a household word… at least at my house! People that don’t even know Colin, know Colin now! Its amazing! Kudos <a href="https://www.facebook.com/BunChakeze?hc_ref=PAGES_TIMELINE" data-imported="1">Sir Colin</a> of <a href="http://www.corvusstone.com" data-imported="1">Corvus Stone</a> Manor! I also have a track on Progtropolis that will feature his incredible guitar playing exclusively. Other then my spacey spaced out guitar parts. His guitars are the driving force on this track. Thanks for making this track extra shiny Colin! Here is a bit of it, but without Colin's brilliant playing on it yet! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://www.reverbnation.com/gormusik/song/27796984-progtropolis-piano--fretless" data-imported="1">GorMusik 'Progtropolis Piano & Fretless' </a><a href="https://www.reverbnation.com/open_graph/song/27796984" data-imported="1"><br></a>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><hr></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">I have recently re-written a section of a 20 minute piece for my Progtropolis album and have added a section for vocals bringing it closer to 30 minutes now with several movements throughout the length of the track. <a href="https://www.facebook.com/jay.mcgurrin" data-imported="1">Jay McGurrin</a>'s stellar vocals will be featured on this album. Jay and I are currently working out the lyrical content and story line for the Album. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><hr></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">I have 3-4 pieces, that are complete other than final secret things that we professional amateurs do with music, and am also piecing together several other tracks, one of which will be another <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFrcnKZpiH8" data-imported="1">symphonic / cinematic masterpiece</a> for this album! I'm hoping! Fingers & toes crossed!!!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">There is a lot of <a href="https://www.reverbnation.com/gormusik/song/27640187-gormusik-5-album-teaser" data-imported="1">Progtropolis</a> in this audio clip!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"></div>
<div style="text-align: center;"></div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><hr></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">All The Rest-</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Plus I am putting bits and pieces together for an acoustic album and an electronic new age album as well as some other top secret projects I am working in on or with! I am not saying any more as I have been sworn to secrecy. GrannyMumProg is the word!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><hr></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">And in case you just fell off of the turnip wagon and have no idea <a href="https://www.facebook.com/gordo.bennett.5" data-imported="1">who I am</a> or have never heard of <a href="https://www.facebook.com/GorMusik-434451266724178/?pnref=lhc" data-imported="1">GorMusik</a>, or turnips, it's possible, I have trouble knowing who I am most of the time! If this is the case you should <a href="/follow-me-everywhere" data-imported="1" data-link-type="page">follow me everywhere</a>. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;"><hr></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Good luck and may the Prog be with you! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;"></div>
<div style="text-align: center;"></div>
